2012 Team Presentation

We are pleased and excited to present the 2012 MtBorah.com / Minerva Design Cycling Team  powered by Basso!  We look forward to continuing the success that was started in 2011 with our new riders, new supporting sponsors and continued commitment to racing at our highest abilities and beyond. The team takes a step upward with a bolstered six-man Category 1 elite squad that will tackle the highest levels of the east cost racing scene : Wacek Godycki, Booey Hottenstein, Brendan Housler, John Hunter, Andrew McCullough and Wyatt Stoup.

We look forward to seeing our Cat 2 riders, Dan Barney, Drew Scoles, and Dylan Pudiak continue their development and move quickly through the ranks in 2012!

2011: unimaginable success

Our very first season has come to a close. We achieved goals that that seemed unimaginable …a podium at Battenkill, two state championships, ‘Toona KOM jersey…and we could not have done any of it without our sponsors, friends, family, fans and followers behind us!  We thank each and every one of you. Summer Steamrolling – part 2

The Mt Borah/Minerva Design Cycling Team continued to find success in the second half of the summer including:  NY TT Champs: 4th; Tour of the Hilltowns: 4th; PA State Open Road Champs: 4th and 10th, Tour of Catskill TT: 9th  and East Aurora Road Race: 3rd. Nice work by all!

Tour de Toona NRC Stage Race

The Mt Borah Custom Apprel / Minerva Design Cycling Team hit the Tour de Toona Stage race in Pennsylvania and found success in the hilly road races by winning the overall KOM jersey, placing 7th on stage 2, and 3rd on stage 3. 2011 win #10 – Corning Circuit Race

John Hunter won the 2011 Corning Circuit Race held at Watkins Glen Speedway after soloing the final 14 miles. He was part of larger break that eventually was whittled down to just four riders – including Wacek and Dan and in the end it was a podium sweep with Mt Borah/Minerva Design finishing 1-2-3! The 10th win of the season and 20th podium for the team! Thanks again to Jim Danvers for his great photos, be sure check them out here.

2011 win #9: Strawberry Fest

A vicious attack by John Hunter plus a bridge by Brendan equalled a two-man TT which ended in a another 1-2 podium party for the team. Great photos by Jim Danvers, check them out here.

2011 win #8: Jon Dechau Memorial TT

Brendan won the 35km Jon Dechau Memorial Time Trial with a time of 44:15. We are proud to support the event which remembers a great racer and friend to many. It is an honor for our team to win this event and represent GVCC Genesee Valley Cycling Club.

2011 win #7: New York State Criterium Championships

The Mt Borah/Minerva Design Cycling team dominated the NYS Criterium championships with a 3-man break that included both Brendan and Wacek. In the finale, Housler took gold, making him a double-state champion, while Wacek earned the bronze to make for another Mt Borah podium party!

Wilmington-Whiteface Road Race

Dan rides the breaks into 6th place at the Wilmington-Whiteface Road Race, Brendan is 8th. Race report »

2011 win #6: Full Moon Vista Grand Prix

Wacek Godycki won the Powder Mills Park race at the Full Moon Vista Grand Prix in classic fashion by  getting into the decisive break of the day. The select group eventually imploded on the final lap with Wacek winning a 2-up sprint for the win! On Sunday, Wacek placed 4th on at the Durand Eastman Circuit race and won the top step of the 3-day Grand Prix Omnium overall.
